Family Vacation - The END!

My videos are ready now for Part 3!  Go see!

Sunday we went to church and were able to be a part of Kyron's baby blessing.  Church was at 1, so that made getting there easy!  We were even early...check us out...that happens only once in a blue moon!

 The Tipas!

 Nephi's family!

Talo's family minus Spencer and Chealsea
My kids absolutely love playing with Talo's kids.  They were non stop...chasing each other around and wrestling...so much fun!

After church everyone went home to rest and get ready for the trip home.
And...enter in....terrible stomach bug raging through the entire family.  Several people got it the night before...and then it just started picking people off one at a time!  Yuck!  Anyways...the ride home was incredibly long.  Because of the sickness it took way longer to get home.  Christopher was sick on the road...then Garron got sick...of all people.  He can't tell us when he needs to stop...barf in the car is just yucky!  And then I got sick the last part of the drive home.  AHHH!

We decided to go to one more 'big' thing on the way out of St. George...we wanted to see Hoover Dam.  Oh, the faith we put into the ingenuity of man!  Yikes!  This is the bridge that is the high way.  The sides are built up to the extent that you cannot see over the edges.  Unless you are aware and follow the signs, you never know what you are driving over!  And thank heavens for that...wow.  Once you get down there and look up, it was unreal what a massive structure was underneath, and the drivers up top might never even know!

Don't know who I took a picture of...ha!

Right underneath

Here's my crew at Hoover Dam!

Too cute!

These towers show the time zones for the different states that border there.  Pretty neat!

The water levels were so low...we need rain everywhere.

And we drove and drove and drove some more!  We drove through Las Vegas...neat to see.  I've never been there.  I wanted to stop and see an old friend, but didn't figure she would appreciate the illness!

We enjoyed our trip, but were glad to finally make it home.  The week after we were home was just exhausting.  I got super sick as soon as we pulled into the drive and some of the kids did later in the week.  Christopher stayed home to 'let' me be sick.  And I am so grateful for that.  He cleaned up after the trip, did all of the laundry and he kept up with the kids all night and all day.  He never even went to sleep the night we got home.  What a man!  Hence, sheer exhaustion for him for several days.

Now we are all better!  Life goes on...we've been swimming with our friends and trying to get ready for school to start after Labor Day!
